Rooms - decent; a little older, but have everything you need. The elevator on the N side needs an update. Forgot about the pet thing, so if you have allergies, stay away. The first floor by the pool & fitness room smelled like a litter box on my first day. NOT the fault of the hotel. Service - top notch & attentive. I didn't get the name of the afternoon lady, but she's a gem . Location - not the best. It IS safe, however it's too close to the airport (flights start to wake you betw 0600 and 0630. Not fun if you're sleeping in. Also there are RR tracks behind . One morning the train came thru at 0730. Overall I had a good stay, the included breakfast is a very nice perk and the Wi-Fi is good here.
Upon arrival at approximately 1:00 AM, the front desk staff provided exceptional service, demonstrating a high level of friendliness and attentiveness. The one-bedroom suite, featuring a queen-size pull-out sofa, was spacious and impeccably maintained. The suite was equipped with a full-size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and sink. The complimentary breakfast offered each morning provided a satisfactory start to the day. The hotel amenities included an indoor pool, a basketball court, and a billiard table in the lobby. The location's proximity to various outlets and stores is a significant advantage. I highly recommend this establishment and plan to return during my next visit to Norfolk.
I was a little too hasty with review. I didn't give myself time to say the nice things I wanted. The hotel is immaculate. Gym, pool, basketball court. The breakfast is awesome, served at 0630, and I'm 25 minutes from where I need to be for work. There is an outdoor seating area that is covered. I didn't find this until the second day because I got here at dark. Sometimes they allow early check in. The staff is awesome and will provide anything within reason. They have a little snack shop. Nice seating area with the news on for breakfast. I haven't seen any newspapers yet, but I'm sure if I looked I could find them. I have not had to adjust the thermostat. They clean the room every third day. I'm really happy with this place and I will likely use them in the future.
Convenient location very close to the airport, but far enough away to avoid the traffic and noise. Room was very clean and staff were friendly. Very pleased with everything at this hotel, previous stay at another Marrriott property in the area did not go so well, this was a much better experience and will be our first pick from now on.
Sadly nice hotel without a single ice machine on property. Yes the rooms have ice machines in the refrigerators but they take time to make ice.
This was an credible stay. Loved the place and level of service! Staff friendly. Checking lady gave places to attend. I didn't want to leave! Will book again when in V.A
